Why you need it
You have worked with this supplier before, or you have a clear enough picture of what you want and where it comes from. The specs are defined; this is not your first order. What you need is an independent local presence at the one moment that matters most: before the shipment leaves.
You don’t need a full-time team in China for this. You need a control layer around this one order: someone who checks what is actually ready, follows up on open points, and gives you a clear picture before you release payment or authorise shipment.
What it means
Production Control Basic puts Scale Roads into your order at the moments that matter. We follow up on production, check the goods before shipment, and validate, where the product requires it, the sample against spec before bulk runs.
You no longer rely on supplier photos or confirmations. You have independent local verification at the point where a problem can still be corrected before it costs you.
What’s included
Physical Quality Check (pre-shipment)
At 80 to 100% complete we inspect the finished batch in person against your approved sample, specs and packaging, using AQL sampling.
Production follow-up
We actively request status, check planning and flag risks between the key moments. We don’t wait for the supplier to update us.
Sample Validation (when required)
Where the product calls for objective verification, we arrange independent testing against the relevant standards before bulk runs. Testing scope and cost depend on the product.
Risk & action overview
A brief close-out of what we found, what was resolved, and what to carry into the next order.

- Interactive dashboard inspection report: AQL status, quantities, per-point findings
- Downloadable PDF for records and supplier communication
- Test report plus a Scale Roads written assessment, where applicable
- Production follow-up status notes during the order
- Short risk & action summary at close of engagement
Pricing model
Fixed project fee*. The pre-shipment inspection and production follow-up are included in the project fee. Additional services, such as extra visits, re-inspections, loading supervision, Sample Validation and Emergency Support, are offered separately.
Boundary: Sourcing & supplier identification are not part of this package; available as a separate add-on on request.

Is the supplier new, the product custom, would a failure be costly, or have you had problems before? Then Plus is the right level. The difference is not just more services; it is active management throughout the order, not a control layer at the end.
* Pricing model, not a quote: the exact fee depends on order complexity (product, supplier location, scope, risk) and is set per intake before any engagement starts.
